Raised in Hall, Montana on the family ranch, Coach Bignell attended high school in Drummond where Frankie was a four-sport athlete. She was selected All conference and All-state in Volleyball and Basketball, also qualified for multiple events at state track.
College- Played basketball at Montana Western for coach Lindsay Woolley. Was voted team captain in 2018. The Bulldogs reached the round of 16 in 2016-17, and the round of 4 in 2017-18. Graduated with a degree in business admiration.
Post college- Coached Helena Capital’s freshman team, under head coach Katie Garcin-Forba in 2018-19. Coached at Sheridan College 2019-20, for head coach Ryan Davis. Took a position at MSU-Northern in 2020-21 for head coach Chris Mouat. In 2021, took a position at Division II- Angelo State, working for Alesha Ellis.
In her first year at Angelo State she was selected “Women’s College Graduate Assistant of the Year”. The year before arriving at Angelo State, the Rambelles finished with one win. In Frankie’s first year they finished fourth in conference. The following year (2022-23) the Rambelles won the Lone Star Conference Tournament. That team produced two All-Americans, and four All-Conference players.
While at Angelo State, Frankie finished her Masters in Coaching and Sports Administration. She worked at Angelo State through 2023.
August 1, 2023. Hired by head coach Jeff Graham as the new assistant coach at Montana Tech.
Jeff Graham completed his second season as head coach of the Montana Tech women’s basketball program this spring. He was named to the position on August 1, 2022.
Graham came to Butte from Belt, Montana where he built a powerhouse girls’ basketball program at Belt High School. During his tenure, the Lady Huskies accumulated a 358-42 overall record that includes 6 state championships, 7 divisional titles, 11 conference titles, and 11 district titles in 15 seasons. For his efforts, Graham was named the Montana Coaches Association Coach of the Year 6 times in girls’ basketball. Graham was also the head football and track coach at Belt.
Graham played basketball in the Frontier Conference from 2001-2006, graduating from the University of Montana-Western in 2006. Graham served as an assistant coach for the University of Great Falls during the 2006-07 season and recruited many of the players who went on to break the school record for wins in the 2007-2008 season.
The Orediggers made big gains during Graham’s second year, even earning a win over the #14 team in the Nation. The relentless effort on defense helped the Diggers finish in the Top 10 nationally for points allowed per game. The Orediggers will return a plethora of experience next year as the team only graduated one senior.
Jeff and his beautiful wife Megan (an All-American basketball player at Western), live in Butte with their children Cadence, Ellison, Jace, and Jimmer.
